When Mother comes to stay and watches TV

And eats dinner with us.

Can you tell by their faces that they're both eating?

While my mother is visiting

My husband's mother has just recently passed away.

How time flies and we don't' get to spend the time

That we wish we had with our favorite people in the world.

This is my little corner "office" in our

New apartment, where all of my favorite

Things reside.

Old photos and cake stands

Filled with my favorite things.

I LOVE it!

My daughter's horse picture

Sets on the floor

Until she gets her own place.

I may not return it.

I made these pom poms for Christmas decor

And decided to leave them all year 'round.

I like the flair.

Photos of our children when they were young

Line the fireplace.

They love to look at them when they visit.

I'm glad and thankful that they take interest in them.

My daughter, Holly, who is now forty years old

In the small photo.

Her son, Ethan, who is now in his early twenties

Pictured behind her.

Mom has just decided to really make herself

At home.

She's the picture of comfortable here.

At eighty-nine years young

She is reading the news from her phone.

I just HAVE to disperse my wooden shoe forms

All around our home.

They just give it that antique feel and ...

Well, I, again, love them.

I have an whole large basket of them besides.

This photo was taken when my children and my husband

Accompanied me to my bone marrow draw.

They came to support me because I had been told

How utterly painful they are.

My doctor was SO GOOD that

I never felt an ounce of pain.

Plus, my daughter held my hand

And prayed for me the entire time.

Large and small pom poms combined

 We love because

He first loved us.

Christmas is gone and yet I'm still stuck on it. Me and my decor.

This is some confetti I found several years ago that I found quite unique.

I use it to stuff my gift boxes with. I love it in my basket on the floor.

It just adds a little bit of whimsy.

My mother-in-laws baby shoes ...

Set with an old Christmas card with special meaning.

I like what the silver adds to the grouping.

Our tall, sleeper, simple pencil tree this year.

Nothing but lights, a few candy kanes ...

Add several strings of silver and red beads.

That was our tree this year.

My tree base, I used a burlap coffee bag to wrap around ...

And scattered just a wee bit of the confetti atop.

On this shelf is my daughter's nutcracker ...

One of my radio flyer wagons, holding my Joey Buey Booklets ...

And my daughter's favorite Christmas ball ...

Having her name HOLLY written on the front.

Again, the same setting as above but to show the tree ...

And the stocking hanging from the buffet.

This is the center of my coffee table, circular coffee table with four horses around the base, carved.

I just love this simple antique wooden server tray that I found years ago.

Perfect to hold a few of my favorite things:

The baby shoes belonged to my father-in-law. The plates I found at an antique store.

Of course, one of my collection of about thirty wooden shoe forms.

Cards from my children ...

And an antique mason jar filled with antique sewing thread spools and buttons.

An old lantern with sparkle lights in it (in the basket).

These are stockings I made several years ago ...

From one of my (now in heaven) father's old cardigan sweaters.

I almost didn't hang them this year but I'm so glad that I did.

My two year old grandson loved the stocking. He liked the buttons and wanted to play with them.

That made my day.

He also got the radio flyer down and played with it.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and that you're well on your way to a ...

Wonderful, prosperous, peaceful and happy New Year ~ 2023!

God bless you all.
